Creative Movement Program

Service Description

Level up your movement skills through Special Education Creative Movement program led by Garrett Parker. Classes will build towards a culminating performance during the last class. Students will explore the foundations of dance through guided improvisation, sensory movement, and imaginative play. Participants will engage in activities that build coordination, spatial awareness, body control, and expressive movement. The workshop integrates adaptive dance techniques and encourages creative exploration through individual and group exercises. Culturally responsive and inclusive teaching methods support multiple learning styles and all ability levels. Social Emotional Learning is embedded throughout the curriculum with activities designed to promote communication, confidence, and collaboration. Students will also engage in group choreography, where student-generated movement is sequenced into a collaborative routine. Through structured play, storytelling through movement, and performance, students will gain tools to express themselves and connect with others in a joyful and supportive environment.. The workshop will build towards a culminating performance during the last class. Students will receive a class shirt as part of the purchase.
